Selected Playback Drawings from Dénes Maróti

Dénes is a graphic artist and in recent times, he has channelled his art into Playback Theatre (PT), which is one of the world’s most important forms of contemporary, community-based theatre. In the communication process offered by PT, audience members tell personal stories and have these enacted immediately by the actors.
While the actors are playing back a story, Dénes is drawing it back simultaneously. Each story is unique and resonates with our collective human experience.
His works reflect the personal stories communicated by the tellers and by the re-enactment of the actors. He finds solutions in a visually mirrored way to capture the essence of the theme, the “heart of the story”.

Enjoy these captured moments in pictures & meet with the artist, who has done these pictures before the conference, and will add many more during the conference - especially the Thursday evening Playback Theatre. Do not miss it!
