Katalin Piniel is an assistant professor at the Department of English Applied Linguistics at Eötvös University, Budapest, where she obtained her PhD in Language Pedagogy. She is particularly interested in conducting research on the dynamic interrelationship of individual differences in foreign language learning, with a special focus on language anxiety. Currently, she is a member of a research team exploring the motivations, beliefs, and strategies of deaf foreign language learners.
