INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION AT THE CROSSROADS

Dr. Lan Anh Nguyen Luu, associate professor is head of the Institute of Intercultural Pschology and Education, Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest (ELTE), Hungary. The institute developed the Intercultural Psychology and Education Master’s Programme and Multicultural Teacher Training Module. Both are unique in the region. She is also in charge of the Intercultural and Intergroup Interaction Module of the Psychology Doctoral School of the ELTE.  Dr. Nguyen Luu has a Psychology MA and a Psychology PhD. Her interests as well as her teaching, research experience, and publications relate to the issues in cross-cultural and intercultural psychology, the social psychology of stereotypes and prejudices and gender studies, acculturation and identity, teachers’ multicultural attitudes. Besides research and teaching experiences she has experience in intercultural training, sensitivity and anti-bias training and also in training of trainers.
